Jan Luts

Jan Luts from NTT Data brings a strong interdisciplinary background and expertise at the intersection of AI and human capital development. He holds Master’s degrees in Information Sciences, Bioinformatics, and Statistics from Universiteit Hasselt and Catholic University Leuven in Belgium, and earned his PhD from the Department of Electrical Engineering (ESAT). In his current role, he contributes to shaping and implementing the AI vision of the European Commission, working within the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, particularly in the context of the ESCO and Europass projects. 

Jan Luts von NTT Data verfügt über einen ausgeprägten interdisziplinären Hintergrund und Fachkenntnisse an der Schnittstelle von Künstlicher Intelligenz und Humankapitalentwicklung. Er hat Masterabschlüsse in Informationswissenschaften, Bioinformatik und Statistik von der Universiteit Hasselt und der Katholischen Universität Leuven in Belgien erworben und wurde am Department of Electrical Engineering (ESAT) promoviert. In seiner aktuellen Rolle wirkt er an der Entwicklung und Umsetzung der KI-Strategie der Europäischen Kommission mit – im Rahmen der Generaldirektion für Beschäftigung, Soziales und Integration, insbesondere in den Projekten ESCO und Europass.
